A large forge company on the west coast was trying to become accredited for AMS 2750 Rev. D. Due to their large quantity of furnaces they were looking for a solution with performing system accuracy tests in a proficient manner. GeoCorp worked with them to put together a custom package of control, over-temp and resident system accuracy test thermocouples, extension wires and even a coiled-cord set to make connecting the resident probe to the hand-held instrument easier.
A commercial heat treater had to have thermocouple wire that required temperature tolerances to be better than the normal special limits of error +/- 2°F or 0.4% whichever is greater. His customer also required that he increase the amount of thermocouple wire used for his load assemblies. As a direct manufacturer of thermocouple wire we were able to find thermocouple wire with a tighter temperature tolerance of +/- 2°F or 0.2% whichever is greater. We also set him up on a blanket order so that he wouldn't run out of wire. The wire was built and stored until he called to release it.
A captive heat treater who supplied parts to a major aircraft manufacturer was having issues with thermocouple drift with another supplier's thermocouple wire. We offered our wire with a recorded 4 hour drift test with parameters for maximum temperature drift.
